Gastroenterology of North Essex

Dr. Celebre is a board certified gastroenterologist . As a Rutgers Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Rutgers University, Dr. Celebre pursued his medical school education at the University of Bologna, Italy. Upon returning to the United States, he completed his residency training at The Mountainside Hospital, Montclair, NJ in 1988. In 1990, Dr. Celebre completed his gastroenterology fellowship at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, New York City, NY.

With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Celebre has extensive clinical expertise with endoscopy, colonoscopy, feeding tube placement and paracentesis. His clinical interests include Celiac Disease, IBS, IBD, GE reflux and Liver Disease. Diagnosis of Colon Cancer, Colon Cancer screening, clearance for Bariatric procedures as well as post Barictric surgery management are integral parts of Dr. Celebre’s practice.

Dr. Celebre is currently the Medical Director of Suburban Endoscopy Center, Verona, NJ. He is on staff at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, NJ and The Mountainside Medical Center, Montclair, NJ. Teaching and working with residences, nurses and students has been an ongoing part of Dr. Celebre’s career.

Personal interests include spending time with family, travel, gardening and a new found passion for cooking.
